Going away for a while

Going off to the hospital for the surgery. I think there are some possibilties for internet acess, although I'm not sure. If so, I will look you up and maybe even do a post.

In the mean time- Behave (c;

Nope. Did not work this time. I am drugged as a... Badger on crack. They will make another try on Tuesday. Well, atleast I can spend the weekend at home.
Hopefully I will be up and running tomorrow Friday.
Until then.
Behave.

Update:
Away again. By god do I hate the procedures with the Descutan wash and all. Hopefully, I will not wake up with a full leg cast. On the downside, that will mean that I will have to do another surgery "sometimes in the future".
This is written at 04:35 am!
I don't know why they are so eager to have me there at this time in the morning. Heck- they will even not have to anethesise me- just give me a pillow!

The procedure itself is surrealistic.
All people in pre- op are walking around (those who can of course) drugged down, in garbs that are tied in the back, net stockings, blankets over the shoulders, with plastic foot wrappers and with IV:s in their arms.
It's like a scene from "One flew over the cuckoo's nest".
The beds are so short that my feets are dangeling over the short end- and I'm just 186 cm long.

Well, well. Hopefully it will go right this time.

I'll see you when I see you!

Peanut brains?

The authorities in San Francisco have descided that at least 1 million cars will be electric powered by 2015.
Aside from where people would get money to exchange their existing automobiles, there is also the question over where the electricity needed would be taken from.

Forget about solar power- San Francisco are just about the cloudiest city in the states. As Mark Twain said:
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

Wind turbines? Sure there are some winds at the coast, but nothing nearly enough to generate the power necessary. Also they stand still about 85% of the time. Either the winds are to light or the they are to strong or the gearboxes or the generators have failed.

Nuclear power? Hah! No one in their right minds would put a nuclear power station in an earthquake area. Also, the people in the SF area are leftist anti nuclearans.

That leaves them with fossile fueled power stations- and then you are back on square one! Only the extra distribution link would mean that more fossile fuel would have to be burned to generate the same amount of energy that Otto and Diesel engines does today.

So what options are left?

Importing energy from other states that are burning fossile fuel or nuclear fuel.

Can someone explain the logic for me?

To be fair; the situation are exactly the same- or even worse- here in Europe.

Whohoo- surgery

So now I finally have got the surgery. It will take place a week from now. No one can tell me exactly what they will do or how long I will off my feets afterwards.- It took only seven weeks to get the appointement!

In the papers I got besides the ordinary yada, yada (don't eat for 24 hours- pre surgery- don't drink liquids and so on)- I was also urged to go and buy me some special sponges with wich I would wash myself with the night before and at the morning of the surgery (which by the way will take place at 07. 15 AM!- Bastards...)

These sponges are basically ordinary ones drenched in ethanol and some kind of soap. I went to the apothechary and found out that they wanted 151 Kr ($ 19) for a small once to use packet.

HUH?

For that sum I can go and buy me some sponges, a bottle of vodka, some soap, wash me over and still have enough over to have some fun!

Geeez.

Update:

I crutched myself down to the apothechary store and bought a pack of Descutan sponges. I was wrong. They don't only contain ethanol. It contains Polyoxyelyten- polyoxypropylen- condenser, fattyoxidaremaoidoakydil- di metylaminoxid, isopropanolalcohole, D- glukonolakton and purified water.

The user manual says that- and I quote:
"Don't use it on your brain"!
I'm not kidding you! It actually says that!

HEH!

It may also cause deafness or loss of hearing, because it is considered a nerve toxin.

And that is what I'm going to wash myself with!

The funny thing is that I am supposed to use it at home, before surgery. After that, I will put on my own clothes that are nothing remotely to sterile (or as sterile as clothes can be) before taking the cab to the hospital.

The last surgery I had, the sponges was free and you got to shower at the hospital before changing in to surgery garbs.

I still think I'm going to buy me a bottle of vodka.
I'm not supposed to drink anything but "clear liquids" until four hours before the surgery.
I think vodka can be classed as a "clear liquid".

Well, well; we'll see what happens.

4749

4749 rapes was reported in Sweden last year.'
In Norway there were 945 and in Denmark 566.

Only in the municipality of Skåne, 515 rapes has been reported under the first three quarters of this year.

Hmmm. Wonder why that could be?

An explenaition

JMK over at his blog has made a very thorough explenation to a question I made in an earlier post.

"At any rate, the irony is that a heavily Liberal, Democratic media, with few people at all versed in economics, reported the credit crisis as a “failure of de-regulation,” when in FACT, it was exactly the reverse!

As a result, we’ve turned toward some of the people most responsible for the current crisis (Barack Obama, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd) for relief from the problem they helped create!

We’re about to embark on MORE regulation, MORE government spending, MORE misguided government intervention and HIGHER taxes, when the credit crisis we’re reeling from was CAUSED BY over-regulation, outrageous government spending, misguided government intervention and the ONLY thing that had helped stabilize the economy previous to 2008 was the INCREASED tax revenues that resulted from those across the board tax cuts!"

George Costanza could be right.

GISS, NOAA, GHCN and the odd Russian temperature anomaly - “It’s all pipes!”

As most readers know by now, the problematic GISTEMP global temperature anomaly plot for October is heavily weighted by temperatures from weather stations in Russia.

gistemp_after_october_correction

GISTEMP 11-12-08 - Click for larger image

Like in the USA, weather stations tend to be distributed according to population density, with the more populated western portion of Russia having more weather stations than the less populated eastern areas such as Siberia. To illustrate this, here is a plot of Russian Weather Station locations from the University of Melbourne:

russian_met_stations
Click picture for larger image, source image is here

Interestingly, the greatest magnitude of the GISTEMP anomaly plot for October is in these mostly unpopulated areas where the weather station density is the lowest. While I was pondering this curiosity, one of the WUWT readers, Corky Boyd, did a little research and passed this along in email:

…Posters at Watts Up have commented on the ongoing consistently high anomalous temperatures from Russia. I have noticed this too. In light of the erroneously posted data for October, I took a look at the monthly NCDC climate reports back to January 2007. By my eyeball estimate the results from Russia are almost all on the high side. . Some I classified as very highs are massively high. Of the 21 months reported, only 2 appeared to be below average.

Category 2007 2008 (9 months)
Very high 6 4
High 3 1
Average 2 3
Low 0 1
Very Low 1 0

Is there a way to validate or invalidate GISS data by comparing it to RISS? Does it strike you as odd that the verifiably erroneous data has shown up in the same area that was suspect in the first place? Could there be a pattern?

Corky also sent along a series of images depicting global near surface and ocean temperature anomalies from NOAA. Here is the most recent one from September 2008:

Read the rest here.

When comparing global temperatures over time, and take in to the calculation weather stations globally you will find that global temperatures has sunk over the past few years and that we now have the global temperatures that we had on the turn of the last century, before mass industrialition.

I don't know about you, but I will now go out and start up my big SUV and let it run on idle for a couple of hours.

Nah- kidding. I don't own a SUV, but I will pace up my breathing. That will teach them a lesson!

Tagging

I live in a very old city. There are beautiful old houses here still being used. Heck! There are still functioning outhoses here older than the USA.

I just came home from a trip down town, and I see all these beautiful houses being pissed on. They are "tagged" all over. What's the point?

I have seen beutiful murals painted by "free" artists. They do it on abandoned houses, never on any functioning equipment or houses that are still in use.

The scribblers though writes on just about anything they can. That's nothing more than marking your territory, and that makes you nothing more than a dog!

Guess what cultural enriching group of people that allmost exclusively do the tagging?
I'll give you a hint.
They don't like dogs (or pigs) very much.

Don't ever, ever take a dump in your own nest!

Voima means Power- Sisu means Endurance

My mother and father lived through the WW2.
My father came from the "wrong" side of the lines.
He was living on Russian soil but his whole fammily thought themselves as to be Finnish.

They were just kids at the time, so they had very little recognition of what happened (oh, sorry- my father is still alive, but he talks very little about it).

I remember one time when I was a kid in the late 70:s And my mother pointed out the very building that she had lived in. It was still a ruin. All bombed out, thirty years later...

I was for a while ago a personal aid to a German man that had his uncles serving on the eastern front. They never came back.

Still!- Voima means :Power and Sisu means: endurance!

My father has told me some stories though.

During the war there was a road building going on in the area. My father was 11 years old and coming from a very poor household earned his money smuggeling cigarettes and booze through the frontlines in to the trenches.

One of the road workers gave my father a couple of Marks to go to get him some cigarrettes. He sad that my father could keep the change.
It was close to 5 kilometers to the nearest place where you could buy cigarettes.
My father ran the whole way, just to discover that the money was just enough to pay for the cigarettes.

He then ran back and gave the pack of smokes to the man.
He smiled and gave my father a whallop!

My father has only given me a spanking once! That was ONE hit on my buttocks- and I'm sure I deserved it.
But if this guy is alive; I would seek him up and give him a bleeding nose. No matter what age he is in!

Why am I not surprised?

Kvinnoforum (Womans Forum), is a tax funded NGO aimed at "womans in need"- what ever that means.

They have now, during the last year, spent a total of 77 M SEK, with a grant of 38M. No one knows were the money is or who has got it.

They have not paid their taxes (which in it self is wierd- they are after all tax funded).

The CEO of the forum - Bam Björling- has paid out extensive amounts of money to a company -Step up- that she and her husband owns. Nobody knows how much or what they have done with it. But I bet you a hundred grand that they have a large house and atleast two cars!

***

At the same time there are hat museums (I'm not joking) and sharpening stones museums (still not joking) here in Sweden that gets hefty grants from the state (tax payers money) to keep them in "buisness".

Sigh!

Congo is a FAILED STATE!

Sweden increases humanitarian aid to Congo.

The Swedish government has announced an increase in development aid to the Democratic Republic of Congo in response to the growing refugee crisis in the east of the war-torn African state.

The situation for people living in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo has deteriorated so fast in recent weeks that the Swedish government has announced a 40 million kronor ($5 million) increase in humanitarian aid.

According to the minister for development aid, Gunilla Carlsson, Sweden has relatively strong practical knowledge of the situation in the region, and she therefore believes that the extra funds can quickly benefit those most in need.

"We have the capability to act swiftly to provide additional funds of around 40 million kronor in this incredibly strained humanitarian situation," Carlsson said to news agency TT on Saturday after the decision had been taken.

A quarter of the funds will be quickly distributed from the foreign office to the UNHCR, according to Carlsson. The remaining 30 million kronor will be distributed by the aid organization Sida which must await formal requests from organizations representing those in need in the region. In this case it primarily concerns United Nations organizations.

"We know that requests will arrive any day now and we want to be prepared,"

The money is new in the sense that it is taken from a relatively substantial fund in the Swedish aid budget that is set aside for humanitarian crises.

"Yes, unfortunately. It would be much better if we could dedicate our resources to development and reconstruction than humanitarian disasters, but there is now unfortunately one such disaster," said Gunilla Carlsson.

The situation in eastern Congo has deteriorated further since August when fighting intensified between government troops and rebel groups. More than a quarter of a million people have been forced to flee their homes to add to the 800,000 already displaced by the ongoing conflicts in the massive African country.

Swedish aid to Congo is estimated to amount to 220 million kronor.

TT/Peter Vinthagen Simpson (news@thelocal.se)

OK! So we are giving away taxpayers money to a crooked state. Do you think even for a second that even a penny will trickle down to those poor people that really needs it?

If so- you are stupid!

There are no aid organisations in situ in Kongo. It's to dangerous! So we send money to them without knowing what it will be used for. It's the classic aid- scam. Stop giving aid to crooked states! The only thing it gives are more hardship for the poor people!

Aid money is what keeps these sorry excuseses for states the means for keep on opressing their own people!

It may be sounding hard hearted. But in a generation it would resolve it self. Dictatorships and the likes are nursed and uphold by our "aid" money. It's like giving away money to a drug attic instead of food. What do you suppose the druggie will do with the money?

And there we are - with our metaphorical beards in the mailboxes- wondering why the violence and the starvation and the abuse keeps on. It's spelled AID dummy! THAT'S what keeping these crooked states on their feets, and THAT'S what keeping their peoople in poverty and THAT is our fault!

70:th year anniversary of the Kritallnacht

Germany recalled the Night of Broken Glass, when Nazis smashed Jewish-owned shops, ransacked synagogues and killed at least 91 people. Chancellor Merkel said all Germans must act against racism and anti-Semitism.

The late November 9, 1938 pogrom, a precursor to the Holocaust, ultimately led to more than 1,300 deaths from injuries, by suicide or in concentration camps, official historians have said.

Merkel, in a weekly video podcast, said Sunday would be a day of mourning for "the most terrible events in German history" as well as memories of more hopeful events on another Nov. 9 -- in 1989 -- when the Berlin Wall parted.

The commemoration of 1938 "obliges Germans to act decisively against racism and particularly anti-Semitism, jointly and throughout society," Merkel said.

Vicious pogrom a precursor for Holocaust

Flames leapt into the sky across Germany when the Nazis gave a foretaste of the Holocaust in the vicious pogrom against the Jewish community. By the time the rampage had ended, thousands of Jewish homes, businesses and synagogues had been burned down or looted by thugs as police and fire brigades looked on.

Read it all.

It is still the national SOCIALISTS that carries the banner for that horrible, horrible night.

Some- the left leaning bleed hearted socialists- still want's us to think that the "Nazis" were and are a right conservative movement.

Nothing could be more wrong!

Nazis were and will allways be socialists! How hard is that to understand?

They have the same agenda (world ruling), they have the same morals (utilitarism), they are supremacistic and they want to implement their ideology by means of violence.

Does this sound familliar?

I give you only one word;

Islam!

Divorces are no fun at all!

I have in an erlier post said the Lettle Green Footballs was on the brink of being shot out of my blog roll.

I'm sorry to say that Charles finally have made his last comment- the drop that made the beaker spill over.

Not only have he kicked on prominent bloggers as Fjordman and Robert Spencer, but the crowd ower there- the lizaordoizes- are more and more looking like a bunch of socialist wannabees!

It's too sad. LGF was one of my favourite places to go. But that love story is now oficially over!

Good bye- The last man takes the flag down!

Is this racism?

Iv'e had sevral friends that are gypsies. I even have had a short "affaire" with a gypsy girl (who stole evrything she could).
When I had a buissness, and gypsies came in to the shop, you had to be on your'e toes, because otherwise they would steal anything they could get their hands on.

I'm not kidding you!

They litterally stole anything they could get their hands on. Wheter or wheter not it was something useful for themselves or that could be sold secondhanded.

They used to come in and asked to use the store telephone, and I let them use it. Until I discovered that they made international calls.

50% of the gypsie children never goes to school. Only 10% of the gypsies in Sweden actually works!

A majority of the robberys of elderly people and pick pocketing and snitches at stores are done by Romanis.

And I would like to add that a majority of the street beggars also are Romanis.

Am I now a racist to point these facts out?

Hmmm?

I got a note.

The state owned postal office has descided to "be more effective" here; which means that I will get my mail two hours later.

HUH?

Explain this for me!

Ahh! And here is something to think about

Forty-three percent of all poor households [in the USA] actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.

Eighty percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, in 1970, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.

Snooty Europeans may look down their noses at America but our poor live better than their middle class: The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)

Nearly three-quarters of poor households own a car; 31 percent own two or more cars.
Seventy-eight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.

As a group, America's poor are far from being chronically undernourished. The average consumption of protein, vitamins, and minerals is virtually the same for poor and middle-class children and, in most cases, is well above recommended norms.

Humbly taken from Planck's constant

Owninig a three bedroom house? In my dreams! I read that the limit of poverty in the USA is allmost twice that of what it is here in Sweden.
I would have to sell my kid to be able to afford even air conditioning. (Just kidding- I'm actually quite wealthy- at this time). But I could not afford to buy a three bedroom house- atleast not without robbing a bank.
But I do own a DVD- That cost's twice as much that it does in the states.

But then again, my fellow Americans. You have just voted for the first (?) socialistic president in the history (Carter does not count- he is just an idiot). So wellcome to my place- it will soon be just like yours.

A small news in the wake of the big one

The FRA legislation of 18:th of June are going to be effective as of first of January 2009.
That means that all internet traffic, aswell as all telephone traffic going over the borders of Sweden will be tapped en masse. None of the extra propositions that was proposed - which would protect personal integrity- went through.

Add to that the telecom legislation and ACTA- and we truly live in an Orwellian 1984.

I suppose that the hardware companies that delivers routers with TOR with default ready confat- exit node are going to sky rocket.

But forget about E-Mail without heavy duty encryption.

So if you want to have a private conversation in the future, it's back to two cans and a string.

Lesse then what BHO has in his pocket for the future?

How do we take care of our own?

A couple of years ago, I was studying medicine at the university. Unexpeteditly, I was blessed with a son. I felt the need to take a sabbathical year.
The problem was that I didn't have any money. I had no job and -oh. Did I say that I had no money?

So what should a man do?

I went to the social wellfare office to ask for some grants to take me through the dire times ahead until I could find a job.

After some weeks I got a phonecall were a woman said that I could not get any wellfare because I was still enrolled at the university. - And I still was as broke as a bum.

I asked: "How will I provide for me and my son? How will I be able to buy food and diapers? To pay for the rent and electricity? Do you really want me to denounce my place as a prodidgee doctor at the university just to get some hand outs?"

She answered: "Yes!"

"So you will let me and my son starve?"

"Yes."

[Click!]

"You #¤%&&%¤# bastards!" I would have set out for a micro loan. Instead I got zip, nada, nothing.

It all turned out all right anyway with a little help from my friends and family- but what the heck?

The kicker is that I could have bought a round trip to any country bordering Sweden, tossed my papers overboard on the way back, plant my foot on Swedish soil and cried for "asylum" and I would get free housing, new furniture, telephone, TV, clothes and cash.

Sigh!

Fly cheap

Ryanair will sell tickets to NYC from Stockholm for 10 Euros ($12,50). I think it is time for me to finally visit the big Apple!
I don't know what the catch is. Probably some taxes and stuff and maybe a two nights minimum stay but it still probably would land on around only 50 Euros for a round trip.

Hmmmm!

Halal-TV

Tonight SVT:s (public service TV) will for the first time air the new TV- show "Halal-TV".
Three vieled young womans will discuss different matters ranging from socio echonomics to gender equality!

When asked if they could say anything that is haram-forbidden; they say that they absolutely not can do it.

The show has been widely debated on blogs in Sweden even before it has been aired. Rightly so! Many thinks that this is a part of stealth islamasation. But the the real question is why public service television- who are supposed to be neutral in religious and political matters comes up with this lunic idea at all?

Will they be airing "Zion-TV" in the future? "Laestadian-TV"? "Mormone TV"? "Nazi-TV"?

I could be wrong, but as it seems there will be no balanced debate with different wievs, just three muslims discussing social matters from their point of wiev.

"Are we there yet dad? Are we there yet dad?
It's time for prayers! Which way is east?"

"We are living over the Arctic circle you need to face SSE! God damned it. I hate these eternal days during ramadam. You little *****."

Update:
Apparently I was wrong- shame on me!
There are going to be invited guests.
The first one is the noted Swedish writer and society debauture Carl Hamilton.

Guess what? A row happened between the three muslim program leaders and Hamilton because the vieled womans refused to shake hands with him.
If someone offers you your hand it is highly offensive not to accept it.
It does not matter if you are born abroad or ar a convert- you have to take coustoms where you go.
I would not take a leak against the khabaa (if I would be permitted to even visit the hellhole- which I'm not). But the same goes for coustoms here! If I offer you my hand in salute, you better grab it and pump away or else you will get my (metaphorical) crutch on your ear.

Would not "Haram-TV" be a better idea? Tell us directly what's not permitted. Like enjoying a bacon and egg breakfast, being in the company of other women than close relatives, letting women drive cars or "GASP" showing their hair legs or arms?

Just a question- that's all.

In space nobody can heare you scream

Brussels spin doctors are planning to put a ballot box into orbit in an attempt to drum up some advance publicity for next June's European elections.

The wheeze is just one of many dreamt up as part of a £21 million PR contract to come up with a "campaign concept and visual identity" for the European Parliament. In space no one can hear you scream.

Those of us with long memories will recall the April 2005 mission when Italian astronaut Roberto Vittori took a copy of the ill-fated European Union Constitution to the International Space Station (ISS).

"Once in orbit, the Constitution will circle not only Europe, but the globe. It is to be hoped that this symbol of European identity will be welcomed by both Europeans and their counterparts throughout the world," rejoiced a rather too hopeful Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen at the time.

Oh by god! Please let it not be true!

Shit it is true.

Green activists

From Östgöta Correspondenten (SWE).

"Thomas Toivonen is a green anarchist and thinks that stone-age life is the only way for salavation. He admits that the population on the earth radically would have to be decimated.
- It would be favoureble if it was done by consent. Nobody want's massmurder. On the other hand a lot of massmurders are taking place right now."

"Johan Rockström is an environment scientist, and he doubts that democraties are able to handle the nessescary means to meat what for the environment is the best.
- If the politicians keep not doing what is best for the environment; we cant't exclude the possibilities of forceful solutions on a global level.

World dictaorship and massmurder are apparently the solution to "the climate threat". The methods are recognoliseble even if the threat that would redeem the methods are new."

Hmmmm!

What's happening over at LGF?

When I first started blogging a couple of years ago, LGF was one of my favoritue sites to go for information. Charles often had deep inside wieves on various topics, not least on the topic of the ongoing global jihad.
I'm sorry to say that recently, Charles has got more and more bigoted in his wiews.

The main problem seems to be that he does not understand the political sceen in Europe at all!
He constantly accuses different political movements here for predjudiscm and even rascism.
First of all: Charles; Those political movements (BNP, SD et al) are democratic movements. I as he, might not like everything in their agenda, but they are still constitutional democratic organisations.

Sverige Demokraterna for instance; are a socialist party. I'm not in favour for socialists in any way, but they are critisizing the ongoing politics about immigration- which is good. It is nessescary to have a debate over thus things that will affect us for generations to come!

He has allready denounced Gates of Vienna, The Brussels Journal and now even Jihad Watch, the latter for linking to TBJ- mysterious, because Charles himself links to Pyjamas Media who in turn links to TBJ!

I will wait awhile, but if Charles keeps up this chidlish behaviour, I will remowe the link to LGF.

McCoy
