Proud Infidel ranting about the ongoing war against democratic and secular values (Don't fool yourselves)! Maybe a voice of sanity in a wide ocean of madness.

Going away for a while

Will be batteling the system at the hospital [again] to morrow.
Still waiting for the OP.
Not sure if I will be able to do any posts, but I will be reading all your's, if I get the chance.
Behave!

Update:
It took "only" five hours. The physiotherapist said that:
"You have a ruptured Baker's cyst".
Thank you very much!
Then she wanted me to do excercises to hinder the loss of muscle mass.
Nothing that I don't allready do!
Just another 40 dollars and a day down the drain.
Sigh!

Good luck with your procedure and with battling the bureaucracy.

Within a week we here in the U.S. will know whether we're heading for a little more regulation (with McCain) or massive regulation (with Obama).

Get well soon.

Socialized medicine sucks.

Obama will lead us into international socialism -- but first, he will exempt himself and certain others.

Oh, that we had a real Republican!

Socialized medicine sucks- Indeed!
Atleast when it is the only option.
The last time we had a center-right government they opened up for private clinics and one private hospital in Stockholm.

These private clinics still are tax financed, but they otherwise are run like a private enterprise.
So to get patients- and therefor the money- they have to be more effective than the state owned ones. They simply have to do a better job so that they can make some profit.

What happpened?
Well the patients are happier with the care at the private clinics. The staff are happier and get higher salaries.

I'm going to have my surgery done in one such private clinic-Whohoo!

But the buerocrasy to get there is mind numbening.
If you are not an emergency case (which I was), you have to go through state owned primary care (clinics) at first. Then you go through secondary care (hospital). And then- finally they might send you to a private clinic- if you are lucky that is.

They also send you to different departements ad nauseum. I've visited the hospital six times and a clinic twice during the past few weeks.

I firmly believe that they do it on purpose so they can suck more money out of the state treasure chest.

And all the while I'm loosing money- Big Time...

HEH! I can't but laugh about the Kafkanian situation I'm living in right now.
I have said it before, but I'll say it again.
Michael Moore, come here sicko. I wan't to have a word with you!
