The great big overpopulation scam

Almost half of the human population of the world lives in countrys where the population are diminishing. LINK.

When I was growing up, one of the "near future" proplems was the soon to be over populated world. But as we have seen over and over again; as people in an area get wealthier- the birthrates starts to decline.

It kind of reminds me of the CO2/ global warming hysteria we are living through now. I'm old enough to remember the hysterical warnings for a "new ice-age" that the climatologists warned of only 15 years ago. Some wise person once wrote "Never cry wolf!" But then again, doomsday reports sells better than the actual truth...

But- a chill goes down my spine when I think of what ideological embaressed group of people that is growing faster than any other right now. When will our leaders realize that innoculation just does'nt cut the mustard. There has to be some serious anti- viral treatment, not just to the vira themselves, but also towards our politicians, MSM and the loud mouth far left wing symphatizers.

How come the left wingers always stands up for the most vile creatures of the world? I mean castro, north korea, the whole islamic middle east and so on, and so on? Why is it that a murdering son of a bitch like che sells more t- shirts than Reagan? Why does the romantic dream of a "worker state" still exist, in spite of all the evidence that it's a "workers dream" turned in to a nightmare for the masses?

Was I that f.....g stupid when I was a teenager?

Nope. I don't think so...

It does'nt matter if you got the brains- if you don't use it properly!

(Sorry- I'm in a bad mood right now...)

Welcome to democracy

No doubt it was a slip of the tongue, as his spokesman duly hastened to emphasise. At a press conference in Dublin this month, the Downing Street website recorded Gordon Brown saying that he had “discussed the European constitution” with his counterpart, Bertie Ahern. Slips are, as always, revealing.

The EU “reform treaty”, on which the detailed drafting began this week, is supposed to be a tweak here and a tug there. On that, the mandate handed to drafters at the slimmed-down intergovernmental conference by last month’s EU summit is theoretically explicit. But the changes in train are a far cry from the mini-treaty, contained on a “few sheets of A4 paper”, that was being discussed only a few months ago.

In terms of the sovereign powers transferred to Brussels, of expanded roles for the European Court of Justice and the European Parliament, of the potentially intrusive and legally binding Charter of Fundamental Rights, and of expanded majority voting in the EU Council, the “reform treaty” is indeed the old constitution revisited.

The details of the 277-page text on which officials are working (in French) follow the rejected constitutional treaty so closely that it is, to put it mildly, odd that neither Brussels nor the Government can produce an official English translation until deep into the parliamentary recess (an English version of the amendments made can be found here).

The biggest difference will be that, whereas the constitution had the (limited) clarity of a text, the end result of this exercise will be an impenetrable legalistic impasto. So as Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, the initial constitution’s architect, puts it: “Public opinion will be led to adopt, without knowing it, the proposals that we dare not present to them directly.” Welcome to democracy, as defined by self-serving grandees and bureaucrats.

This is the "new" Europe. It's socialist Soviet Union all over again, with an islamic twist. Anybody out there that want's to guzzle down this coctail? I once voted for membership in to EU. I'm beginning to think that is the largest mistake I've ever made. What I voted for was globalism, free markets to benifit all. But what we got is protectionism and a super state bureaucracy- with France (!!!) as the puppet master. Cheezus! Please somebody give me a Green Card...

Is it just me- or is it Nasrallah?

During the 34-day war in southern Lebanon, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called for a new era of democracy and peace in the region, "a new Middle East."
But Hezbollah, backed by Syria and Iran, said the U.S. vision aimed at reinforcing Israel.

"There is no new Middle East," Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah told a mass rally in the southern town of Bint Jbeil, one of the towns hardest hit by the war. "It's gone with the wind."
Nasrallah did not personally attend the rally to mark the first anniversary of the war which Hezbollah calls "a divine victory. His speech was relayed to the crowd on a giant screen set up in the main square of Bint Jbeil.

Nasrallah said the guerrilla group would never be at peace with Israel.
"We will not wait for anyone to defend us. We will defend ourselves and our country," he said. "We possess and we will continue to possess rockets that can hit any area in occupied Palestine if Israel attacks Lebanon," he added.
"It is impossible to live with a back-stabbing enemy on our border, who has been assaulting us ever since it was born." (emphasis added).

Our country? Our border? This is so wrong in so many dimensions it's hard to know where to start! The irony is humungous! Nasblablah- realize this. You are the ones occupying Lebanese land. YOU ARE!

No jihadis in Lapland?

So... In one of the last posts I did before going off to northern Lapland, I finished it with "No jihadis in northern Lapland". At first I went to Saivomuotka, just south of Karesouando- the most northern village/town of Sweden accesible by road. Well; northern Lapland has it's own fundamentalists. Lapland - for example- is the seat for Laestadianism, a evangelic variant of christianity. You know; the no curtains, no music, special dresscodes and brimstone oozing "You are all sinners and you will go to hell"- preachings (sounds familiar?).

But then again. I never encountered any of those while visiting Lapland this time. And the ones I have met before have seemed to be pretty decent people after all. Thing is- they keep their religion as a personal matter (most of the time), and there is yet to be seen a Lestadian that runs in to a coffe shop with a bomb belt blowing itself to pieces while shouting "God is great".

The last two days in Lapland I spent in my old hometown Gällivare. Gällivare is is an old mining town about 100 km north of the Arctic circle. It is in fact a tri- town, with Gällivare as the central town, and with Malmberget and Koskulskulle as hang- ons.

In Gällivare there has been a "flyktingsluss" (lit- refugee lock, as in canal lock) for decades. Most of the refugees and immigrants coming through earlier has been Balkans and Russians. As soon as it was possible, the Balkans moved away, preferably to Stockholm and Malmö. The Russians allmost all got deported back to Russia (another story another time...).

Much to my surprise, when I wisited Gällivare this time; I discovered that 50% of all the people I saw in the town square was Somalis. I have never ever seen a woman in full clad burka before (in real life), but just in the span of a couple of hours I saw atleast a half a doussin. In Arctic Gällivare!

What conclutions can be made out of this? Dunno, this is just a travel report...

I've been tagged

Angel over at Woman Honor Thyself has tagged me for a Meme.
Here are the rules:

1. Post the rules for the meme at the beginning of your post.
2. This meme consists of the blogger listing eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged in this post are to write their own post listing their own eight random items and list the rules.
4. At the end of the post/meme, list the folks you are tagging and leave them notice of such in their comments.

At first I was thinking of weaseling out on this. But since Angel is a good friend I'll do it.

Ok here it goes...

1. I'm pretty embaressed over the fact that I actually had to look up the meaning of the word "MEME". I mean I have read the word several times but has until now never reflected over it's exact meaning.

2. I have an obscene amount of Science Fiction books. They are filling up every bookshelf in the apartment and I have hundreds and hundreds of more in the storage. Somebody at one time said that I should sell off some of them. My reply was;
"Hisssss- You dirty little Hobbit. My preciousssss ones. They're mine- mine I tell you!"

3. I'm a fully qualified Skydiving Instructor

4. Allthough I just barely can keep my plants in the apartement alive; I love gardening. Thing is- I have no garden (Bummer). So when I have the craving, I'll go out to my sisters house and mowe the lawn or, or plant flowers or paint the house (sometimes without her knowing about it)... You get the picture? Yes it's sad!

5. I love to cook. But only when others are present. When I'm alone; the pizza box mountain and the beer can volcano only gets bigger and bigger.

6. I love white water and stream fishing. Something that you can't do here in the south. (Vacation, vacation, Zippedidoodah vacation time...)

7. I own more than 800 vinyl records and another 500 CD:s. Together with my soundsystem, I have invested more in to that than into any car I've ever owned (it's getting sader by the minute huh?)

8. I can't take a step; I can't hold a tone. But my new Sony Ericsson Walkman cell is my new best friend...

Phew!

So now for the list of those to be tagged:

1. Yankee Doodle
2. Anticant
3. James
4. Flanders Fields
5. Uspace
6. And of course Highest Infidelity

Roadtrip

So what does a guy do on his vacation? Go to the beautiful islands of Greece? Take a trip to Italy? Do some roaming around in France? Or even stay back home in the south of Sweden?

Nope!
I'll be taking my son on a 1600 km roadtrip to Saivomuotka!
Lapland; where I come from. The land of wilderness, salmon filled rivers and the home of the worlds only mosquito museum.

The land of the minight sun. My birthplace!

The land where men are manly and women are... err manlier.

he home of the largest bog in the world.

The place were you have to use a bandana over your mouth and nose, just to being able to breathe (for all the mosquitos).

The place were you possibly can get the best hamburgers in the world- and most defenitly the best raindeer kebab!

So from Saturday on- I don't know how much blogging I will be doing the coming weeks (this is definetly internet- free country) Not even cellphones works there!

The civilized world must say never again

Vacation Time

So it's my vacation- the summer hollidays. More than that; I have been KF for the past few days.

Wait- I'll explain the acronyme...

Risky buisness is a 1983 movie starring Tom Cruise as a teenager being left at home while his parents are away on a trip. Cruise is casted as Joel Goodsen, the teenager who takes the chance to party and let loose during his parents absess.

Left alone in the wealthy northern Chicago suburbs with the family house and Porsche at his disposal, Joel, through his scheming friends, finds himself entertaining to-die-for lady-of-the-night Lana. After meeting Joel's enthusiastic friends, Lana spots a business opportunity, and suggests bringing in some of her equally stunning colleagues. Joel is aghast at such an idea, at least until the Porsche accidentally falls into Lake Michigan, requiring a quick infusion of ready cash.

In Swedish the title was "Föräldrafritt" (free of parents), that often is shortened to FF. Another meaning of FF could be "Frufritt" (free of the spouse).

KF then would mean "kid free" (BF- barnfritt).

So what does a guy do, suddenly alone in the apartement, in a city?
Party?
Have a get together with his friends and watch soccer games?
Play WOW all night long?
Something naughtier?

Noooooo!

To night I'm taking out my niece to see "Transformers"!

It's only the pizza box mountain in the kitchen that is a telltale of me actually having balls instead of brains. (c;

Ahh- I must be getting old... That's what time does to you!

Just a notice

When lonely refugee childreen comes to Sweden; they are being placed in homes with with a 1:1 ratio of caretakers. Yupp that's right every child has one personal caretaker!

Mind this in relation to senior citizen care who has a ratio of 0.6:1, or dementia care with 0.8:1- or for that matter daycare centers and pree- schools who has a ratio of 0.1:1 (or even less in some cases)...

Makes you think huh?

Lack of Civil Liberties, Not Poverty, Breeds Terrorism

When Princeton economist Alan Krueger saw reports that seven of eight people arrested in the unsuccessful car bombings in Britain were doctors, he wasn't shocked. He wasn't even surprised.
"Each time we have one of these attacks and the backgrounds of the attackers are revealed, this should put to rest the myth that terrorists are attacking us because they are desperately poor," he says. "But this misconception doesn't die."

[...]

As a group, terrorists are better educated and from wealthier families than the typical person in the same age group in the societies from which they originate," Mr. Krueger said at the London School of Economics last year in a lecture soon to be published as a book, "What Makes a Terrorist?"

[...]

Backgrounds of 148 Palestinian suicide bombers show they were less likely to come from families living in poverty and were more likely to have finished high school than the general population. Biographies of 129 Hezbollah shahids (martyrs) reveal they, too, are less likely to be from poor families than the Lebanese population from which they come. The same goes for available data about an Israeli terrorist organization, Gush Emunim, active in the 1980s.

• Terrorism doesn't increase in the Middle East when economic conditions worsen; indeed, there seems no link. One study finds the number of terrorist incidents is actually higher in countries that spend more on social-welfare programs. Slicing and dicing data finds no discernible pattern that countries that are poorer or more illiterate produce more terrorists. Examining 781 terrorist events classified by the U.S. State Department as "significant" reveals terrorists tend to come from countries distinguished by political oppression, not poverty or inequality.

• Public-opinion polls from Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan and Turkey find people with more education are more likely to say suicide attacks against Westerners in Iraq are justified. Polls of Palestinians find no clear difference in support for terrorism as a means to achieve political ends between the most and least educated.

The trouth of the defeats

As the current situation in Palestine worsens, let Arabs not forget their past. Events that are portrayed as victories by Arab politicians are not always victories for the Arab people. Last month, the Arab world remembered one of its greatest defeats of the 20th century: the June 1967 war, which marked the end of the hope to wipe out Israel and the loss of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, the Sinai, and the Golan Heights.

Despite the memory of those losses, Arab media, from Al-Jazeera to Dubai TV, still tried to find an honorable excuse for the Egyptian president in 1967, Gamal Abdel-Nasser. This same distorted logic has been applied to movements such as Hizbullah and Hamas, whose defeats are often transformed into victories. No independent commission has ever assessed any of Abdel-Nasser's, Hamas', or Hizbullah's declarations of victory. The Arab people must dig for the truth in the statements and behavior of these leaders or groups. We have allowed politics in the Arab world to be defined by slogans, not results. Our judgment of leaders can only be truly determined by what they do not just what they say.

Accept it! You lost! And you lost big time... Time after time!

Palt

Palt is a traditional Northern Swedish dish. There are as many recepies as there are households in the northern parts of Sweden. But I will now share my very own recepie of this delicacy.

Grind some potatoes (in a meat mincer or alike), the amount is dependeble on how many you are. But 5-10 large potatoes of the thick skinned variant will do for two persons.

Press it by hand so the fluid drains away. Mix it with flour and salt (I prefer all wheat, but the connescures wants a third barley) until it's just bearly not rynny.

Let the dough rest for some time. Meanwhile, cut some salted pork (or beef) in to small cubes. When you are through with the cutting; wet your hands under the tap. Take a handful of the dough in one hand, put some of the pork inthe middle and form it to a "snowball" shape.

Put the Palts in a big pan of boiling, salted water. Let them simmer for 35-40 minutes.

Serve the dish with roomtemperature or melted butter and/or lingonberry jam. Fried salted pork or bacon on the side is also yummy.

Mmmmmmm!

(Yeah we eat rotten [actually fermented] fish too)

Shake, rattle and roll in Västerås

This weekend over 10,000 classic cars will converge on Västerås at the Power Big Meet as car enthusiasts from Sweden, Europe and as far afield as Russia, Israel and Australia make their annual pilgrimage to the biggest Classic car event in the world.

For Sweden’s Raggare, the Power Big Meet is more than just a car show - it’s a celebration of a way of life that is peculiarly Swedish, despite being entrenched in the fashions, music and motor cars of Americana. Since the 1950s, a version of the American Dream has been embraced with an enthusiasm that has endured for half a century.

I´m really not a super fan of American classic cars (allthough there are some really nice ones). But the Power Big Meet is something to be experinced! Also, the happening draws crowds from the ages of 10-80 years old. Raggare [cruisers] have been around now for half a century. Expect a lot of gasoline and tyres being burned the coming days, with hair greasier than a Volvo 140 engine room.

Hmmm, crap! Got to stop now. A bat just flew in to my living room (I'm not kidding!) Have to take care of it...

Continuing...

Yuck! That was creepy... The thing just flapped in through the open balcony door and landed on my TV set. Hate those critters! Well ,I tossed it out, so I will go on with the story now...

Anyway, being a "Raggare" is something hard to explaine. It is a life style. A way of life cherishing some rosy idea of how the fifties in the USA was. It's "Happy Days and America Graffiti all over again with a touch of Grease.

The cars will range from Street Rods to Cruisers to Muscle cars and the roar of the engine and smell of gasoline is accompanied by the rock and roll beat. The cruising is a chance to admire other cars and show off a year of dedicated work in the garage.

“Members of Street Pack include police and lawyers, we have everyone from young guys to 75 year old men who are still driving the cars they imported 50 years ago” he says, as we are joined by a man in a leather waistcoat with enormous sideburns and four inch quiff."

Sten, a large man with tattooed arms and middle-aged spread draws on his cigarette, “Put it this way. Little kids dream of Father Christmas all year round. We dream of the annual Power Big Meet”. For Håkan and Sten, it’ll be Christmas in July as they shake, rattle and roll up the E18 to Västerås.

Sisu

Sisu is a Finnish term that could be roughly translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. The equivalent in English is "to have guts", and indeed, the word derives from sisus, which means something inner or interior. However, sisu has a long-term element in it; it is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain the same. To anthropologists, it is an appropriate invention for a cold northern land, dotted by thousands of lakes, and long under threat of being overwhelmed, militarily, linguistically and otherwise, by more powerful neighbours. Similar concepts exist among other cold-weather peoples, such as the Inuit and Chukchi.

This is the kind of sisu displayed by my ancestors. YEAH!

A Finnish U-boat under the command of captain Anti Leino was dispatched from Mariehamn. During the night, Leino found the Russian boat. The two submarines were at the sea's surface when the Finnish vessel fired two torpedoes. Both missed, and when the Russian sub tried to escape with a rapid dive, Captain Leino decided to ram his enemy."It's an unbelievable situation and an extraordinary feat from the Finnish captain to make this split-second decision in the heat of battle, putting his and his crew's life at risk," said Björn Rosenlöf.The Russian submarine sank with a crew of 38 men onboard. Meanwhile, the Finnish boat limped back to Mariehamn, damaged and offloading water with pumps.

This is what Europeians lacks today-
SISU! JÄVLARANAMMA! GUTS!
Call it what you will.
I call it bravery.

Know your enemy
Look him in the eye
Take a stand
And weare steel toe caps

Being polite to the unpolite- Is not the answer
Being nice to the rude- Is not the answer
Turn your other cheek to some one who
shows you a fist- Is not the answer

Atleast not when the fist are being claimed

- to be the answer...

The no no word

I really did not intend to coment on the latest bruhahaa about the failed carbombings in theUK. Other bloggers have already done that exstensively.

But what strikes me is MSM:s use of the word "asians" when decribing what is most ceartainly muslims. Much like Swedish MSM uses the word "youths" when reporting on civil unrest no matter what age the culprits are.

Take the foot out of your mouth! We know. And we know that you know that we know! Say it!

MUSLIMS!

All muslims are not bad people/terrorists. But how come allmost all terrorists are muslims?

Have you hugged a terrorist today?

Letter from a former islamist

This is quite fascinating.

"When I was still a member of what is probably best termed the British Jihadi Network, a series of semi-autonomous British Muslim terrorist groups linked by a single ideology, I remember how we used to laugh in celebration whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was Western foreign policy."

[...]

What radicals and extremists do is to take these premises two steps further. Their first step has been to reason that since there is no Islamic state in existence, the whole world must be Dar ul-Kufr. Step two: since Islam must declare war on unbelief, they have declared war upon the whole world. Many of my former peers, myself included, were taught by Pakistani and British radical preachers that this reclassification of the globe as a Land of War (Dar ul-Harb) allows any Muslim to destroy the sanctity of the five rights that every human is granted under Islam: life, wealth, land, mind and belief. In Dar ul-Harb, anything goes, including the treachery and cowardice of attacking civilians.
